9/12 of #top12 #2025 A Little Girl Who Called Out From Her Porch in Kampung Halo I got inspired, so I decided to select my Top 12 photos of 2025. Some of them I selected because I liked the photo, and others because of the experience of taking them, but for all of them it is a way to remember some of the places I have visited and, mostly, the people I have met along the way. I was photo wandering the wooden walkways of Kampung Halo, Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia. I just walked left and right, no plan, until a little girl standing on a porch of one of the stilt houses called out something to me. I couldn't tell whether it was Malay or a local language; I didn't understand a word. I tried English. She didn't understand that either. So I switched to Swedish, which didn't help at all. I took a couple of photos and showed her the back of the camera.
