4/12 of #top12 #2025 Grateful for These Conservation Advocates in Sabah, Malaysia I got inspired, so I decided to select my Top 12 photos of 2025. Some of them I selected because I liked the photo, and others because of the experience of taking them, but for all of them it is a way to remember some of the places I have visited and, mostly, the people I have met along the way. I visited Sabah, Malaysia, in 2025 to photograph and meet up with new friends like Soliano Alfanso and old friends. I want to thank the 1StopBorneo Wildlife team, including Shavez, Chun, Yulinda, Elvinis, and especially Abritus, for a great trip and wonderful time. They all do a lot of conservation work and have many ongoing projects in Tawau Hills Park and other parts of Sabah. I had the pleasure of attending the Mammal and Herping Tourism Workshop that they organised, featuring the founder of MammalWatching.com, Jon Hall, as one of the speakers.
