7/12 of #top12 Grey-tailed Racer Snake in a Tree Foto: Jens Hauser
I got inspired so I thought of selecting my Top 12 photos of 2017. Some of them I selected because I liked the photo and others the experience in taking them but for all of them it is a way to remember some of the places I have visited but mostly the people I have met.
My seventh photo is of a Grey-tailed Racer Snake that Mike found up in a tree while cruising up and down the Kinabatangan River, Sabah, Malaysia. Mike saw from a distance and he called out: Bananas in the tree! I thought he had got sunstroke or something because bananas in a tree are not that uncommon. Mike laughed and said that is the local name for the snake.
My special thanks go to the Adventure Alternative Borneo team with Mike Gordon who planned and put so much effort in walking, driving and spotting wildlife day and night so I could experience so many mammals and birds in Borneo, Malaysia.
