4/12 of #top12 Headbutted by an Elephant  Foto: Jens Hauser

I got inspired so I thought of selecting my Top 12 photos of 2020. Some of them I selected because I liked the photo and others the experience in taking them but for all of them it is a way to remember some of the places I have visited but mostly the people I have met. This photograph is taken in mid-air microseconds after I got swiftly headbutted by a chained tame elephant in India I got to close to. I got a bit careless because I wanted to get closeup photos of him and he looked so calm and relaxed. I was so stupid that I touched his cheek but he didn´t react at all so I took one step closer and photographed. Then I saw his soft ear loob and thought it would be a great idea to touch it. He really didn’t like that because as soon as I got close to it he headbutted me on the side with his massive tusk. I am lucky that I only got a crack in my rib and not totally crushed. I want to thank the male elephant in must that he didn´t kill me.
