5/12 of #top12 Bornean Angle-headed Lizard in the Night  Foto: Jens Hauser

I got inspired so I thought of selecting my Top 12 photos of 2017. Some of them I selected because I liked the photo and others the experience in taking them but for all of them it is a way to remember some of the places I have visited but mostly the people I have met. My fifth photo comes from the Pin Supu Forest Reserve not very far from Batu Puteh village, Borneo, Malaysia. Almost every night when I am out photographing I find so many wonderful and, for me, unusual animals and insects. This night my guide, Faijan, saw the glittering eyes of a Bornean Angle-headed Lizard when he was spotlighting the pathway. I usually don't like to use a flash so I have started to use a LED panel instead. It so much easier to sculpture the light and see straight away how the photo is going to look like. A special thanks go to my family that let me spend both time and money on my photography.
